Basic Operation
Australian Barge Hire has a fleet of 5.9m long by 2.4m wide plate aluminium work punts powered by fuel efficient outboard engines. The works boats have in built under floor buoyancy and are commercially registered and supplied with all necessary safety equipment. The work punts are road trailerable and have the capacity to transfer personnel, core trays and skip bins in class 2D waters.
The work punts are also capable of positioning Sea Lift in calm waters and are often used in shallow waters where there is insufficient draft for larger craft.
